Pina (2011)

☻ ☻   Pina (2011). In 3-D. For those who love dance in gorgeous locales.

Wim Wenders' homage to the late choreographer, Pina Bausch and her Tanztheater Wuppertal, is a mashup of dance film and documentary.

With such a mix of languages, there will always be subtitles.

With no hint of the luscious settings to come, the beginning of the film is sparse, and took me a while to become enmeshed. Once I did, however, I was hooked.

Visually stunning.

Primeval (ITV)

☻ ☻  Primeval (ITV) It's back! Dinosaurs, time travel and mayhem.

More amazing rescues from perplexed critters. More disgracefully bad, perhaps mad, scientists. More visitors from the future. Nice architecture too. What more could anyone want.

Ever cool, calm and collected, Lester getting a wee surprise:

One of the hazards of working with anomalies

To return latter this year ...

Speaking out:
"Probably the most individual and unique item in [ITV's] repertoire ... a great series." Throng UK blogger atomickarma (Christian Cawley) commenting on the previous series' end.
